Chuck Ferrell

Masterful Musician, Fun, Creative & Highly Musical

Chuck Ferrell, began his professional career at the age of 14 in Southern Virginia. He has performed with jazz, rock and country artists. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was fortunate to study with incredible professors such as percussionists Scott Taylor & Don Bick. He later studied with Clarence Penn and has also done a professional workshop with Dave Weckl.

Mr. Chuck, as his students call him, teaches adults & kids because he believes in sharing his love of music. Many of his students have earned high honors in solo & ensemble festivals as well as music scholarships.

Chuck co-wrote the book Groove Theory -a- comprehensive guide for the drum set percussionist. Mr. Ferrell is also a  rhythm section clinician, who has worked with high school and professional bands to assist them in honing their technique.

Chuck’s sound is masterful, highly musical, fun and creative.
